What is BS EN 1090?
BS EN 1090 is the standard that governs the manufacture and conformity assessment of structural steel and aluminium components.
If you place structural components on the market, you are required to:
- Demonstrate compliance with BS EN 1090
- Implement an effective Factory Production Control (FPC) system
- Apply the correct product marking (UKCA, UKNI or CE, depending on your market)
