What is CPAS?
To address potential violations any company that wishes to print cheques for its own use drawn on the company’s own account must become a member of the Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme (CPAS) and adhere to the requirements of the CCC&C Standard 55 which is, in essence ISO 27001 with added industry specific requirements.
Why choose CPAS?
- Ensures that the specified quality and security standards for printing cheques are maintained – for example quality control in the paper, ink, and security features used in cheque production
- Provides a robust and preventative measure against fraudulent attack on business and personal cheques through increased security during all phases of the cheque printing process.
- Maximises operational efficiency in the cheque clearings
